This is your opportunity to join the BizOps team on Capital One’s fast-growing consumer app: Capital One Shopping. Within Capital One, the Shopping team is working on a new consumer product that seeks to change the way people buy things online. Our mission is to deliver a best-in-class shopping and savings experience for our millions of customers while driving incremental and sustainable sales for our merchant partners.

The BizOps team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst. The BizOps team sits within Revenue Management and is responsible for driving revenue outcomes for the business. Partnering with sales and product teams, you will generate actionable insights that impact all areas of the business and ultimately drive revenue by conducting complex analyses and monitoring performance on a daily basis.

You’ll be a key partner in taking our sales operations to the next level. Working directly with Sales, Revenue, and cross-functional leadership, you’ll help drive successful sales strategies and positive interactions with advertisers. This is a key role where you’ll be using data and analysis to help deliver on ambitious sales and revenue goals.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, motivated, and self-sufficient, with demonstrated success in spearheading cross-functional projects that drive the growth and success of a business.

General Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver robust and scalable reporting using SQL, Mode Analytics, and Google Sheets

  • Identify business/sales challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations

  • Perform ad hoc analysis driving actionable insights on sales initiatives

  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One Shopping including: Sales, Product, Revenue, Operations, Tech, Finance and others to drive revenue and continuous improvement

  • Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous revenue, product, and sales analytics
