The Opportunity...
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Senior UI Designer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on creating pixel-perfect, high-fidelity mockups, refining interaction design, and building a robust, scalable design system. You will be responsible for building visually engaging, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces that bring clarity and consistency to complex enterprise software.
Your design work will play a critical role in simplifying complex workflows and enhancing data visualization, empowering enterprise users confidently navigate and manage backup, recovery, and security operations. A deep understanding of visual design principles, interaction patterns, and systems thinking is key. You’ll collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product managers to bring ideas to life through exceptional interface design.
What you'll do...
UI Design & Design System
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes that improve the usability and visual quality of complex enterprise applications.
- Design, maintain, and evolve a modern, accessible, and scalable design system that follows best practices in layout, color, typography, iconography, and visual hierarchy, with support for dark mode and theming.
- Create clear and comprehensive system documentation, including usage guidelines, style guides aligned with brand standards, behavior specifications, and functional annotations, to ensure consistency across the product experience.
- Ensure all UI designs meet accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG) to support an inclusive user experience.
- Conduct design QA to ensure implemented UI matches design specifications with pixel-level accuracy and correct interaction behavior.
Interaction Design
- Define and design UI interactions and micro-interactions that enhance usability and provide intuitive feedback.
- Maintain consistency and clarity in interaction patterns across the product experience and design system components.
- Create accompanying prototypes and functional annotations to clearly communicate interaction behavior and intended user feedback to engineering teams.
Collaboration & Handoff
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, developers, and product managers to bring UI designs to life.
- Deliver organized design specs, documentation, and functional annotations for smooth development handoff.
- Work with engineers to identify and resolve design inconsistencies or implementation gaps.
Iteration & Feedback
- Lead and participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine and improve UI and interaction designs.
- Continuously iterate on visual details to raise the quality bar across the product experience.
Design Trends & Best Practices
- Stay current with industry trends in UI, visual design, design systems, and interaction patterns.
- Leverage and adopt AI-powered tools and workflows to streamline design tasks, improve productivity, and scale visual quality.
- Share insights and inspire the team with new ideas and forward-thinking design approaches.
Who you are...
- 5-7 years of experience in UI or visual design roles with a focus on complex, enterprise-level applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality interface design, interaction details, and system-level thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to lead visual direction and own UI design from concept to implementation.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining a polished and accessible design system, including accompanying documentation such as style guides, usage guidelines, and implementation standards.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma
- Deep understanding of layout, visual hierarchy, typography, color, iconography, and responsive design principles.
- Solid knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and how to apply them to UI design.
- Experience working with design systems like Material Design, Fluent UI, Bootstrap, or custom design systems.
- Experience collaborating with Engineering teams and familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML/CSS).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and collaborate across teams.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and balancing multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in mentoring or guiding other designers.
- Background in data-heavy platforms, dashboards, or systems related to security, infrastructure, or IT.
- Familiarity with user behavior analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Pendo and how they inform UI/UX improvements.
