Senior Specialist Solution Architect - FSI

Serve as an application-focused expert who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes strategic relationships with customers. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect to join us. In this role,you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of both the Inner and Outer Loops of software development. You'll help customers overcome new challenges as they modernize existing applications, build processes and address security concerns by using Red Hat's technologies, including Red Hat Middleware and Red Hat OpenShift. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you'll also need to have excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a key part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Discover and analyze customer business and technical problems  with the appropriate Red Hat solution that aligns with their needs

  • Create enterprise solutions that increase business value using Red Hat OpenShift and the Red Hat Middleware portfolio

  • Develop and conduct live demonstrations and educate prospective customers on the capabilities of Red Hat's solutions

  • Guide and assist with proofs of concepts, workshops, and seminars

  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Professional Services, Support teams, and other Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions

  • Demonstrate expertise by speaking to user groups and at select conferences; share knowledge with your team members

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture with development skills; experience

  • Practical experience with Java development technologies like Spring Boot, WildFly Swarm, or JEE

  • Previous Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) experience using Red Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Docker Enterprise Edition, Mesosphere, IBM Cloud, or similar technologies

  • Experience with application build automation tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins, and Git

  • Experience with creating, updating and managing virtual machines.

  • Prior experience with container and container orchestration technologies like Linux containers (Docker) and Kubernetes project is a plus

  • Experience with GitOps workflows and DevOps tools like Helm and kustomize, and securing builds is an advantage

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a record of developing relationships at technical, management, and executive levels

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

The salary range for this position is $162,950.00 - $260,830.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
