Senior Specialist, Site Services Global Procurement

Purpose of the role
The Senior Specialist will fulfil an active role in category management, contract management, risk management, stakeholder management, and supplier value management in the Site Services category domain. Category scope includes (integrated) facility management, energy supply, maintenance repair and operations (MRO), industrial gases, and office supplies and furniture, for the Animal health manufacturing locations.

The position will be part of the Global Site Services team in Animal Health Global Supplier Management. Our team partners with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional procurement teams. Main responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Senior Specialist will include:

  • Conduct detailed supplier and supply market analysis, spend analysis, and cost modelling

  • Analyze procurement data, drive improvement of data quality

  • Develop (sub)category strategies

  • Design and execute RFP events, including evaluating bids, negotiating, contracting, obtaining approvals, and implementing contracts

  • Collaborate with relevant parties including regional procurement teams, stakeholders, legal, and other global category teams

  • Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships within our manufacturing divisions. Develop broad understanding of stakeholder needs and priorities. Provide stakeholder support

  • Support and execute contract management, relationship management and performance management for key suppliers. Monitor, report, manage and drive improvement of supplier performance

  • Drive identification of value creation opportunities to deliver on continuous improvement and simplification

Periodic domestic business travel to the Animal Health manufacturing sites in North America will be required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration

  • Master's degree preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years of hands on experience in SAP, Ariba, Aera, strategic sourcing, preferably in a global role, in pharma or related industries

  • Experienced in category management, contract management, risk management, stakeholder management, and supplier value management

  • Strong understanding of contract language and legal positions

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills

  • Outstanding analytical skills, ability to translate business needs into fact-based, data-driven insights

  • Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset. Highly collaborative

  • Excellent project management and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize. Result driven. Self-propelling. Ability to work independently with all levels of the organization
