Senior Sales Operations Analyst, Incentive Compensation

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst, Incentive Compensation, is a vital member of the Revenue Operations team. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business or accounting, with at least 7 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or FP&A.

The selected candidate will have responsibility for defining and driving sales effectiveness analyses, reporting on key indicators of plan design performance, and cost modeling. He or she will regularly interact with Strategy & Planning, Sales Compensation Administration and Finance teams to drive strategic analytics priorities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills; initiative and solving problems to help drive greater efficiency and process automation. Deliverables take the form of analytic models, quarterly reporting initiatives and fact-based presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and update processes critical to data accuracy for the reporting and tracking of compensation metrics.
  • Develop a world class analytics platform that provides easy access to information.
  • Leverage metrics and data to provide insights into effectiveness of specific programs and report progress against business objectives and budget.
  • Build analytical models for use in forecasting earned commissions, commission expense and impact of sales plan design changes.
  • Partner cross-functionally to prepare analyses and develop fact-based recommendations for strategic decision making and investment.
  • Provide analytical support to the design of incentive compensation structures for new and existing sales roles.
  • Establish a quarterly cadence for reporting of leading and lagging indicator of sales performance.
  • Model cost and impact of short-term incentives (“SPIFs”), track results and report on effectiveness.
  • Build executive-level presentations; crafting the messaging based on the intended audience.

Required skills/experience: 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com, financial budgeting tools and other data systems, ideally including Incentive Compensation systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large volumes of data and identify trends
  • Working knowledge of typical incentive compensation plan structures in enterprise software (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, and on-target earnings)
  • Experience designing and building complex financial models
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to consider cross-functional impacts
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with experience in presenting to senior management
  • Ability to perform in a high demand, dynamic environment and manage to deadlines
  • Strong Team Player, excellent business partnering skills, positive attitude, and good work ethic

    Compensation:

    This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

    $90,600.00 - $177,800.00
