The Opportunity:
At TrueCar, the Senior Marketing Specialist is a key revenue driver for TrueCar Marketing Solutions (TCMS), working closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to identify, pitch, and close TCMS opportunities. While this is an individual contributor position, the BDMs ensure TCMS meetings are consistently driven through collaboration with the Senior Marketing Specialist.
This role blends digital marketing expertise and consultative sales skills, serving as a strategic marketing advisor to automotive dealers. You’ll be actively engaged throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial strategy and proposal development to pitch execution and ongoing campaign consultation.
While this is a remotely-based position, the ideal candidate will reside in the eastern or central U.S.
How You’ll Contribute to TrueCar’s Success:
- Partner with BDMs to proactively drive TCMS meetings, ensuring a steady pipeline of revenue opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective dealers to assess their marketing needs and business objectives and be able to discuss strategies on the fly.
- Develop customized digital marketing strategies tailored to each dealer’s goals, leveraging TrueCar’s exclusive audience data.
- Create compelling, data-driven proposals and sales presentations to showcase the value of TCMS solutions.
- Act as a trusted marketing advisor, providing strategic recommendations on Email, Display, Social, and video campaigns.
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, creative, analytics, dealer service, and dealer sales) to refine marketing solutions and improve execution.
- Provide training and support to clients, ensuring they fully leverage TrueCar’s marketing solutions for maximum ROI.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance strategy and drive results.
Your Expertise:
- Proven experience in automotive sales consulting, digital marketing, or agency account management, preferably in the automotive space.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, programmatic display, email marketing, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to drive strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex marketing solutions in a clear, compelling way.
- Strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment with BDMs.
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for in-person dealer meetings and events.
Base salary range: $106,000 - $130,000
