About the jobThis position is needed to hire, grow and develop our AI/ML Data Science team globally. This team will execute on our vision to reinvent how we operate at Twilio with intelligent, self-service solutions for Customer Support and Operations teams, and replace manual processes with AI and automation. This key leader will have the opportunity to establish this new Data Science and AI Engineering team, develop a high-performance culture and partner with our engineering, business and program management teams, globally. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance on technical decisions, mentoring developers, and partnering with program managers, designers, full stack developers, and AI/ML engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality software efficiently. This leadership role requires a range of technical expertise in large language models, a deep understanding of data science and machine learning techniques, and effective stakeholder collaboration.
Your primary responsibilities will be to hire the best AI/ML and Data Science talent, mentor and develop your team through regular feedback, and consistently deliver on time and on quality. You serve as a trusted collaborator that builds positive relationships between AI/ML engineering and our partners, internal teams and leadership. To succeed in this role, you will have a strong sense of ownership for our engineering products, and possess a deep technical background to develop constant growth and innovation.
