Job DetailsThis role is responsible for overseeing and supporting the program management of 340B technology and service offerings, which benefit pharmacies, covered entities, manufacturers, and related third-party stakeholders. This encompasses the 340B Enterprise Strategy solutions, including the Virtual Replenishment Program, Preferred Vendor Program, and additional 340B initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as key 340B subject matter resource and liaison for 340B technology and service solutions.
Support 340B Enterprise Strategy, Commercial Solutions & Engineering, and IT/Product Development teams as a 340B technology SME on all related 340B technology projects.
Support 340B technology implementation projects with third party administrators as necessary.
Create internal documentation, training, education, and communications as needed.
2. Program Management: Provide strategic oversight and leadership for 340B Program Management, ensuring effective cross-functional support for Cencora’s Corporate Partnership, Health Systems Group (HGS), and Community Retail and Long Term Care (CRLTC) pharmacy strategy initiatives.
Strategic Leadership:
Collaborate on the strategic direction for programs, ensuring alignment with organizational and business unit goals and objectives.
Provide visionary leadership to drive program success and innovation.
Program Oversight:
Oversee the planning, implementation and execution of multiple programs and projects within 340B Enterprise Strategy.
Supervise assigned 340B Enterprise Strategy workstreams and implementation projects, collaborating with cross-functional project management teams to ensure alignment with the defined project scope and effective tracking against program goals.
Manage resource constraints and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize program activities as needed.
Ensure that the project plans for 340B workstreams and implementations projects under purview are maintained in accordance with departmental standards.
Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and direction to ensure program objectives are achieved.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strop relationships with key stakeholders, including 340B third-party administrators, technology vendors, and corporate partner pharmacies and support interactions with covered entities, pharmacies and corporate partner customers.
Act as the primary liaison for communication and coordination among stakeholders.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify and assess program risks and issues, developing mitigation and contingency plans in coordination with 340B Enterprise Strategy and other Cencora stakeholders.
Ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize impact on program objectives.
Financial Management:
Oversee program budgets, ensuring effective financial planning and control.
Monitor and report on program operational and financial performance, ensuring alignment with established goals.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators, leveraging 340B Enterprise Strategy Analytics and Finance where available, to evaluate program success.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on program progress and outcomes.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
Ensure program deliverables meet requirement standards and client expectations.
In coordination with stakeholders, implement continuous improvement processes to enhance program efficiency and application adoption.
Policy and Procedure Development:
In coordination with stakeholders, support development of policy and procedures and standard operating procedures to guide program operations.
Ensure program compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Change Management:
Lead change management initiatives to support program implementation and adoption.
Communicate changes effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
3. Provide daily oversight and programmatic responsibility for Cencora’s Virtual Replenishment Program.
Oversee and support internal and external customer support for Virtual Replenishment Program or other 340B technology offering inquiries.
4. Works directly with internal Cencora teams including Health Systems Sales, Community Retail and Long Term Care (CRLTC), Customer Onboarding, Customer Integration and Data Maintenance (CIDM), Finance, Credit, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance (CSRA), Corporate Partners, Customer Care, Digital Business Solutions, Marketing, Technology Enablement and others to:
Ensure a compliant and best in class 340B service offering and customer experience
Proactively identify potential issues and assist with issues resolution and solutions
Identify innovative new services or technologies that will enhance Cencora’s 340B solutions offerings
Monitor 340B Virtual Replenishment Program quality assurance
In collaboration with Commercial Solutions & Engineering, support the development and launch of the TPA Preferred Partner Program.
Collaborates with covered entity and contract pharmacy account management to effectively facilitate communication, education, and campaigns
Influence operational and commercial decision making via information sharing and process improvement.
5. Analytics: Work with the Senior Director, Operations to design monitoring of programs.
Proactively engage others to develop new reporting tools and models to support initiatives aimed at driving profitability, finding new market opportunities, improving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, etc.
6. Project Management: Serves as key team member of cross-functional teams responsible for executing Cencora’s Enterprise-wide 340B strategic initiatives, including leadership of workstreams, projects and contractor management as needed.
7. Marketing and Communications: Works with Marketing to create intellectual capital materials that establishes AmerisourceBergen as an industry thought leader through trade articles, speaking engagements and sales messaging platforms.
8. May be required to complete and receive a passing score on defined certification course(s) as determined by the VP of 340B Enterprise Strategy.
9. Performs related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Normally requires a minimum of ten (10) years directly related and progressively responsible technology development; minimum of five (5) years of 340B pharmacy experience, including knowledge of 340B federal and state compliance and regulations and working with Government accounts.
Two years in healthcare with relevant 340B related experience
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Significant 340B experience and demonstrated capability to successfully manage projects with multiple 340B stakeholders utilizing technology solutions
Completion of 340B University or 340B University OnDemand (Optional: Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program (340B ACE)
Preferred: Demonstration of project management (PMP certification or equal experience)
Thorough understanding of a 340B contract pharmacy
Thorough understanding of third party administrators
Understands pharmacy trends and operating assumptions
Demonstrated history of operating as a project or program manager coordinating with cross-departmentally
Excellent organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Excellent integration, implementation and management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs

Full timeSalary Range*$152,500 - 235,180*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
