The Senior Business Consultant – Retail, identifies and qualifies consulting opportunities with global and key accounts. Leverages technical expertise, industry knowledge and consultative skills to manage customer relationships, drive attach rates and increase the number and scope of retail customers. Works with customers to understand strategic, organizational and business challenges and offers solutions from a DN product and service perspective. Ensures proposed solutions are sustainable and scalable in support of both customer and DN business objectives.
Working in partnership with T1 and T2 Retailers on business and C level, to create a winning Check-out Strategy or delivering alongside their Strategy valuable insides and solutions. Therefore, we are using our Advisory Services Methodology to identify challenges or friction within the process to leverage our software and hardware portfolio to reduce or eliminate friction and optimize the check-out process and layout and operations.
We are working on New Check-Out Concepts, Optimization of existing concepts and operational optimization by using Hard-, Software and AI based solutions.
You will work independently on accounts guided by our sales team and supported by our hardware and software sales experts moderating meetings delivering valuable insides and deliver a winning check-out strategy alongside our product portfolio, recommending the optimal mix of solutions by also taking future change into account.
- Manages the large and complex customer engagements – Retail tier 1, tier 2.
- Develops an understands the customer's business to customize the consultative approach to the need of our customer
- Informs customers of various company services, products, features and optimizations.
- Develops and presents customers with comprehensive, value-added business consulting engagement proposals.
- Provides consultation / advice and support across the company to address and resolve complex, significant and business critical issues.
- Engages with customer senior leadership to understand strategic objectives, business priorities and where and how DN can help.
- Applies customer understanding to propose and sell new products and services.
- Monitors Business Consulting functional metrics to identify trends, progress and best practices.
- Packages best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies and published assets to help with Business Consulting planning and decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Consulting in Retail.
- Experience in Data-analytics and Business Strategy planning, Data Analytics mindset
- Strong T1 and T2 Retail knowledge in at least one main retail segment (Grocery preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business consulting retail technology solutions, including POS, self-checkout, hardware, software, and services solutions.
- Exceptional presentation Skills
- Strong Moderation Skills
Salary Range: $82,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, internal equity, and relevant experience.
