Job Description
Location for job: This is a remote role with a preference for PST, MST or CST time zone.
The ideal candidate will act as a team lead and a player/coach within our retail team based in the U.S. We are seeking an experienced and driven sales professional with a proven track record of selling to Retail and Brand customers. Experience in SaaS and/or start-ups is essential for this role.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a business plan to exceed yearly revenue goals.
- Utilize the current adopted sales methodology to coach Account Executives in sales, closure strategies, pipeline management, opportunity management, and career planning/development.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team.
- Be accountable for individual quotas as well as overall team sales quotas.
- Report on all aspects of the business to senior management.
- Effectively navigate strategic customer and prospect conversations to uncover core business challenges.
- Connect solutions to prospective customers' pain points.
- Perform product demos via Microsoft Teams or similar technology.
- Communicate the value proposition to position against the status quo and competitors.
- Develop proposals focused on addressing prospective client organizations' challenges and needs at scale.
- Identify key decision-makers to define timelines and compelling events to drive deals to close.
- Cultivate and quarterback new business opportunities through the sales pipeline within the assigned territory.
Supervisor Responsibility
- Lead a team of Business Development Representatives and Account Executives tasked with selling to U.S. retailers.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and the Go-to-Market team regularly to address operational and business issues, including price negotiation, contract negotiation, forecasting, and overall management of the sales process.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of software sales experience, selling data to brands or retailers, or working in the consulting industry with brands/retailers.
- Deep understanding of retail, eCommerce, and analytics.
- Team management experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience implementing and utilizing a consultative sales methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, Force Management, Mastering the Complex Sale, Challenger).
- Proven negotiation and sales skills.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving year-over-year goals.
- Executive-level communication and sales skills.
- Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles with C-level decision-makers.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package. Pay is established on an individual basis after considering multiple factors such as relevant experience, education, and other qualifications. In addition, we take into account geographical differentials and make sure pay is equitable with our current staff. For this position, our hiring range for base annual pay is estimated to be $105,000 to $125,000, at the time of this posting.
Performance-based discretionary bonuses and variable pay plans are available for some positions. Our benefits package is exceptional and makes up an important part of our total rewards for our employees.
