Job Summary:
The Senior Security Solution Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting Account Managers, Solutions Executives, Solution Architects, and Technical Solution Advisors. Their responsibilities include gathering information to accurately scope security solutions during customer engagements. Additionally, the Security Solution Specialist focuses on time-to-value activities to enhance the overall security practice. They are expected to provide support for specific technologies, workflows, and partner collaborations
What will you Do:
Domain Expertise:
• Confidently engage in conversations related to a minimum of 75% of core domains and/or supported technologies.
Technology Leadership:
• Educate customers on security products, explaining their features, benefits, and technical specifications.
• Lead high-level security discussions around core technology areas and with partners.
Quoting and Documentation:
• Generate quotes and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for supported security practice groups.
• Ability to scope and generate Statements of Work for 50% or more of velocity/templated services offered
• Collaborate internally with partners to stay informed about security portfolio offerings from core vendors supported by the SSS.
Certifications and Training:
• Attain role-level certifications related to core domains or vendors.
• Maintain industry certifications through yearly internal development programs.
• Actively pursue two additional supported vendor certifications while maintaining existing certifications.
• Attend internal partner trainings and enablement sessions.
Sales Support:
• Follow up and respond to questions regarding open and closed cases the SSS is involved in.
• Work within a team supporting Security Presales, using Salesforce for technical case queue triage.
Customer Engagement:
• Discuss solutions conceptually with customers and potential customers, explaining features and benefits.
• Educate customers during renewal and add-on opportunities, suggesting alternative solutions or upgrades.
Events and Collaboration:
• Participate in CDW events focused on business technology solutions.
• Attend in-person events when travel is necessary.
