This role is responsible for developing and executing the processes for on-boarding Domestic partners within our sales channel. This extends to responsibility for contributing to onboarding of new partners process and all aspects of training including design of material and post-training development programme to ensure that third parties are supplied with well coached and high performing Advisors.

As we develop into the Smart world the evolution of the channel is exciting and this role will support the Channel Development Manager to evolve existing and new channels, implementing exciting new initiatives and projects to support sales growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting delivery of sales targets through the on-boarding of third-party partners, development and improvement of induction courses and development/coaching that will help to deliver our sales growth. Continue to review and improve where required.
  • Working with the sales team ensure that all training, induction and coaching materials are fully maintained, fit for purpose and have appropriate business sign-off
  • Working in conjunction with key stakeholders to design and provide a robust support process for the end to end onboarding of new domestic sales partners
  • Design the annual training plans for domestic sales partners with input from key stakeholders to ensure delivery of required skill levels for all third party Advisors as well as determining business priorities and resource required to support
  • Ensure any development solutions receive prior approval through the standard internal approval routes prior to any delivery being carried out
  • Design plans for the transition of agents from training into a development programme and that the required learning and performance milestones have been achieved in training
  • Lead regular reviews of progress against the recruitment and development plans to determine if remedial action is required and ensure this is implemented
  • Manage a plan of regular structured reviews of material and processes with key stakeholders to ensure the Sales Onboarding team are constantly delivering appropriate, effective and evaluated training solution
  • Develop monthly reports for Key Stakeholders that measures agreed Recruitment and Development KPI's and performance against glidepaths
  • Using performance metrics formulate recommendations for Operational Management for ongoing process improvement
  • Lead, develop and manage key projects / project workstreams for the Channel Development Manager on new initiatives or projects to deliver sales growth.

What you’ll bring

Knowledge of Customer Business sales channels with experience of working in a sales and/or marketing environment. With understanding of, and experience in business development techniques and methods.  You’ll bring excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; and be a a self-starter with the ability to work independently of others.

To be successful in this role you will also need to demonstrate as minimum:

  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management ability
  • Strong commercial focus on value optimisation
  • Sales focused, strong understanding of the value of service and customer engagement
  • In depth understanding of Onboarding Sales including Business Energy Sales Partners & Agencies
