Sales Executive, Advisory

  • This role is 100% remote requiring extensive travel.  
  • Contribute to the development of strategy for the Healthy Buildings practice.
  • Drive new business and meet/exceed sales targets by positioning UL Solutions Software and Advisory offerings to key industries.
  • Provide input on customer needs, pain points, trends, etc. to service manager.
  • Maintain ongoing plan to prioritize portfolio of accounts and maintain relationships throughout the year.
  • Quickly build trust and engage with customers to identify customer needs (e.g. integrating and understanding the opportunities within environmental compliance and sustainability).
  • Collaborate with customer personnel to craft customized Advisory service solutions and deliver value.
  • Use technical credibility to build relationships with buyers and centers of influence.
  • Communicate value proposition of Advisory services and related software products to clients based on highly technical knowledge.
  • Serve as main point of client contact for specialty services throughout sales cycle.
  • Maintain knowledge base around specialized services to anticipate and react to disruption within focus area (e.g. upcoming ESG reporting regulations) and proactively address customer needs.
  • Make proposals and handle closings in the Healthy Buildings space.
  • Action on opportunities to sell specialty Advisory services.
  • Support discovery and opportunity identification for Healthy Buildings Advisory services.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for specialty Advisory services, responsible for articulating value proposition and managing client interactions.
  • Bring in additional technical resources (e.g., engineers) when needed to support sales opportunities.
  • Provide input to account planning process on potential growth opportunities within Healthy Buildings.
  • Team with Client Success Specialists to ensure customers renew ongoing services. 
  • Support smooth hand-off of customer to implementation teams or S&A customer success post-sale.
  • Make connections and builds trusted advisor status.
  • Total Rewards:  We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $122,500 - $148,750.. which includes a base salary of $70,000. - $85,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 75% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. Total earnings are not capped.
  • This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

  • Bachelors and/or graduate degree 
  • 5+ years of sales experience 
  • Experience selling advisory services and related software
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Environmental Health & Safety, Sustainability, Commercial Real Estate, Construction or related fields
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
