Your Impact
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing analysis of customer requirements and developing technical responses to meet their business needs. You will work directly with the sales, engineering and proposal organizations to understand and provide technical leadership for qualifying and deploying Axon software solutions in law enforcement agencies across the country. You will lead the technical responses for sales requests including standardizing and streamlining our proposal content.

Federal Sales Engineer

Location: Remotely from United States, and on the road 75-90% of time
Reports to: VP, Federal Deployments
Direct Reports: N/A

  • Set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle for opportunities
  • Analyze incoming RFPs and provide strategic, and accurate technical responses that reflect Axon's mission and product capabilities.
  • Where possible, improve or develop technical documentation to ease understanding and customer or channel usage of our products and services
  • Work with a team of networking and software professionals to deliver Axon technology to federal clients
  • Ensure a robust and feasible implementation plan is presented to potential customers
  • Analyzes IT system architectures for the purposes of scoping technical projects and recommending system improvements
  • Engage with a federal agency’s technical and non-technical leadership to communicate project progress and information

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated analytical skills through understanding and defining complex subject material.
  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Service (CJIS) background check and maintain CJIS clearance. Handle confidential and highly sensitive information.
  • Experience analyzing and developing technical systems and solutions (networking, applications, and services).
  • Experience engaging client stakeholders at all levels with detail presentations and requirements gathering.
  • Understanding of project management.
  • Understanding of business process analysis.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and tasks within a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical people, including clients and vendors.
