About the role


The right Sales Development Representative candidate will be one who has experience with an outbound motion, works well in a smaller startup environment, is not afraid to try new things, and can self motivate day in and day out. This person can easily initiate relaxed but informative two-way conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. The right candidate will also understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically. 


Who you are:

This position requires an ambitious self-starter and someone who can effectively identify qualified leads and opportunities—relationship selling skills, with the ability to manage sales calls at varying levels.



What you bring:

  • 2+ years of successful experience prospecting in the SaaS industry
  • Ability to ask insightful questions and keenness for problem-solving
  • Proficient understanding of CRM tools like Salesforce.com, Outreach, Sales Nav 
  • Experience with outbound prospecting 
  • Experience working in a territory-based selling environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • High level of integrity and commitment to scale an early stage business
  • Ability to stay focused and on-task in a remote work environment; actively engage with consistent check-ins with leadership and the team


What you’ll do:

Core Responsibilities: The core requirement of this job is to set qualified meetings for the BetterComp Sales team. Activities for this include:

  • Building a pipeline across your territory by driving outbound sales motions to generate meetings for the sales team
  • 99% outbound prospecting
  • Collaborating with Account Executives on territory planning and strategy,  prioritization, and multi-threading to win deals
  • Execute on marketing campaigns
  • Become a powerful storyteller who clearly and confidently conveys BetterComp’s value across our ICP (Ideal Customer Profile)
  • Meet or exceed assigned quota
  • Meet daily/weekly/monthly performance activity metrics to drive results
  • Consistent follow-through of prospect engagement activities, opportunity qualification and documentation in Salesforce.com

What we offer:

  • Our fully remote position, based in the U.S., offers you the freedom to work from the comfort of your home, giving you the flexibility you've always wanted.

    • Base salary range for this position (non-exempt): $50,000 - $70,000 annually, with uncapped commission typically starting at $24,000 for target commissions in the first year. (based on location)
