The right Sales Development Rep candidate will be one who has experience with an outbound motion, works well in a smaller startup environment, is not afraid to try new things, and can self motivate day in and day out. This person can easily initiate relaxed but informative two-way conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. The right candidate will also understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically. This job will have direct exposure to the CEO and Sr. Leadership with strong career growth potential with mentoring from experienced Saas Sales Leaders. They will collaborate directly with the executive team on strategic outreach and prospecting efforts to help grow the business.
Who you are:
This position requires an ambitious self-starter and someone that can effectively identify qualified leads and opportunities. Relationship selling skills, with the ability to manage sales calls at varying levels of customer accounts, are essential.
● 1+ year of successful experience prospecting in the SaaS industry
● Proficient understanding of CRM tools like Salesforce.com
● Experience with outbound activity solutions like Outreach.io preferred
● Experience working in a territory based selling environment
● Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
● High level of integrity and commitment to scale an early-stage business.
● Ability to work remote and stay focused independently with consistent check-ins
● Interest in career growth into an Account Executive
What you’ll do:
Core Responsibilities: The core requirement of this job is to set meetings for the BetterComp Sales team. Activities for this include:
● Cold call/emailing into prospects generated by a variety of outside sources provided by BetterComp and personally sourced leads.
● Collaborate with CEO & management to create target prospects lists and penetrate key accounts
● “Blueprinting” out an account with the right contacts, quickly and efficiently
● Meet or exceed assigned quota of completed meetings per month
● Responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales rep.
● Identify key players, researching and obtaining account information, and presenting solutions and new ideas to begin top of the funnel sales cycle
● Consistent prospecting cadence using Outreach.io tool.
● Log and maintain all initial prospecting interactions in Salesforce CRM
● Nurturing leads by educating and developing prospects over time until they are ready to speak with a sales rep.
● Consistent follow-through of prospect engagement activity, lead qualification and documentation in Salesforce.com

○ Base salary range for this position: $50k-$60 annually and uncapped commission typically starting at $24k OTC the first year. (based on location)
