WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The Fors Marsh Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis (PEPA) practice is seeking a Resilience Research Associate to contribute to evaluation projects. This individual will lead quantitative analysis tasks; work collaboratively with research teams; collect, manage, and analyze data; summarize and report findings; and provide general support to federal clients. The objective of this team is to provide research and evaluation support to federal clients, in support of achieving meaningful progress on client mission objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Thinking creatively to help emergency preparedness clients answer the questions, “did this work”, “will this work”, and “how can it work better”.
  • Contributing to the design, execution, and interpretation of research across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Preparing written products research reports, presentation decks, and other project deliverables summarizing research methods, findings, and implications.
  • Providing client account management to understand needs, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
  • Managing and analyzing large datasets; interpreting results from descriptive and inferential quantitative analyses.
  • Providing quality checks on client deliverables.
  • Balancing roles and responsibilities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Working as part of a team on a day-to-day basis in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology, Statistics or other social science field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of applied experience contributing to evaluation research projects, preferably for federal clients.
  • Understanding of social science methodology (e.g., evaluation design, survey research, multivariate regression, conducting interviews and focus groups).
  • Proficient in at least one statistical analysis software package (STATA preferred, SPSS, or R).
  • Experience and strong proficiency using MS Excel for data management and analysis.
  • Experience and strong proficiency using MS Powerpoint to develop presentations for clients.
  • Demonstration of strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.

Salary: $68,000 - $72,000
