Regional Sales Manager - ERICO & ILSCO (Commercial/Industrial)

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Achieve sales goals for ERICO and ILSCO Commercial Electrical business in IL, MO, WI, MN, IA, KS, NE, ND, and SD​, by maintaining existing business and successfully converting new business, primarily through breadth and depth of product offering and as a project solution provider.
  • Actively lead 3rd party sales agents, aligning goals with territory strategy.
  • Develop multi-year sales strategy & tactical plan to achieve sales targets by identifying and developing new customers / end users / key projects within the specified territory.
  • Build relationships across all levels of key end-user customers and distributor partners.
  • Influence end-user specifications to provide approval for ERICO and ILSCO products, emphasizing technical advantages over competitor products.
  • Provide product expertise through training and technical presentations, highlighting our value proposition with key contractors and distributors, and providing on-site support.
  • Create demand for products through pro-active promotion with end-users, design institutes/consulting companies and other specifying engineers.
  • Support agent opportunities and proposals (quotes) for ERICO and ILSCO; including, but not limited to lightning protection, CADWELD, grounding, surge protection, and part conversion crossovers.
  • Launch new products to market/territory.
  • Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve the solution set and refine the message.
  • Support new product launches.
  • Use Salesforce as a tool to lead the opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback internally.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or applicable outside sales experience
  • Ideally, 5+ years outside sales and/or territory sales management working in the commercial or industrial space with electrical products
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and travel on average 60% in the sales region with overnight trips expected. A valid driver's licence is required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to communicate confidently with both technically trained and non-technical customers
  • Commercial and contractor sales knowledge
  • High level of organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably SFDC (salesforce.com)
  • Strong preference for technical sales and value-based selling skills
  • Ability to navigate/walk an active construction site
