About the opportunity

Flock is actively seeking a Real-Time Consulting Manager to join our expanding team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with public safety agencies to help them realize their real-time policing and analysis goals. Your focus will be analyzing various data (crime, traffic, staffing, etc) and providing consulting to agencies wishing to make their departmental analysis more efficient. This position offers the flexibility of a home office setup with occasional travel requirements ranging from 20% to 40%.
Some challenges you’ll tackle
Data Research and Analysis: Your primary responsibility will be to analyze voluminous data provided by customers as part of real-time policing consulting. This data analysis will contribute to an overall strategic plan for the customer agency.
Research Analysis Unit Efficiency and Usage: You will work with the real-time consulting team to provide comprehensive analysis of customer agencies’ current analysis unit functions. Your goal will be to provide each agency with a customized strategic plan for maximizing their usage of analysis in pursuit of enhanced real-time policing.
Establishing Goals, Standards, and Measurement Tools: As part of the real-time consulting team, you will be responsible for working through the process of establishing departmental goals, standards, and measurement tools to ensure each agency has a clear path to real-time policing success.
Materials Development: You will be responsible for developing written collateral, to include reports, diagrams, charts, or other documents, for presentation of analytical data in a presentable format.
Real-Time Policing Presentation: Deliver real-time policing presentations in various formats, to include conferences, trade shows, and regional forums.
About You
2-5 years of experience in public safety analysis, with experience in, and knowledge of real-time policing practices and strategies.
Self-starter mentality with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and produce results.
Ability to see big-picture and prioritize between strategic initiatives and daily tasks.
Comfortable becoming familiar with software and various hardware devices, in order to become a subject matter expert.
Flexibility to learn and become a subject matter expert in various software and hardware devices.
Creative approach to problem solving and content development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Extreme attention to detail.
Energized by solving customer's problems- e.g. consultative sales approach.

90 Days at Flock

The First 30 Days
Design first draft of research parameters and reporting framework to provide comprehensive analysis of customer agency’s data and information
Meet with cross-functional teams to understand current internal real-time policing trends and goals
The First 60 Days
Attend an in-person consulting session
Attend two real-time forums
Begin developing various graphs, charts, and other documents needed to complete future consulting projects
90 Days & Beyond
At the end of 90 Days, you are rolling. You have developed a framework for data collection and analysis, attended real-time forums, and begun creating other documents, charts, and graphs necessary for consulting projects.

Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
Salary & Equity
In this role, you’ll receive a starting base salary of $130,000 - $150,000 and as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
