About the Role:

The Acquisition Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing the very best shops that the retail property market has to offer. You will be responsible for researching, sourcing and evaluating properties that align with the network expansion strategy, negotiating the best property deals, and working with our dedicated in-house teams and external consultants to ensure targets are met and our opening programme is delivered . This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, strong negotiating acumen, and a good understanding of the property market across the UK.

As a Property Acquisition Manager, you will:

  • Lead the property acquisition process, including site identification, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
  • Conduct market research to identify expansion opportunities in key markets.
  • Build relationships with property stakeholders to secure favourable terms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess property feasibility and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Manage due diligence, including site inspections and financial analysis.
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential properties and track progress.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to inform strategic planning.

 

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Property or related field preferred, along with RICS membership. (Preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of property acquisition experience in retail or commercial real estate.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing property transactions.
  • Understanding of location planning strategy and UK property law.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with data analysis abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate management software.
