The Opportunity

As a Project Manager for Hinkley Point ‘C’ (HPC), you’ll provide leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the Civils Programme, while managing its broader impact on the overall project. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be responsible for defining the work scope of the assigned contract or package, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with other programme elements. You will collaborate with the project team to secure necessary resources, monitor personnel needs, and ensure resources maintain the required skills and qualifications. Additionally, you’ll develop and implement strategies and plans in alignment with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP), ensuring the project is effectively organised, managed, and delivered.
  • You’ll oversee the delivery of contract activities, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and meet business and technical requirements. By monitoring progress against milestones and budgets, you will keep stakeholders informed and address any discrepancies. You will also proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and update the programme budget as needed, escalating critical matters to the Senior Project Manager where necessary.
  • Your role will include maintaining accurate Level 3 schedules, reviewing contractor schedules, and ensuring all deliverables are met according to the contract. You will apply Earned Value Management (EVM) and Continuous Improvement principles while fostering knowledge-sharing and best practices across the project. Additionally, you’ll work to ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled and maintain effective working relationships with project team members and stakeholders.
