As a Program Manager, you will

  • Play a crucial role in overseeing the entire planning process from start to finish: site research, RFP development, negotiation, contracting, registration website development, budget management, program logistics, vendor and client relationship management.
  • You will own the entire planning process and serve as the key liaison between meeting contacts and hotels/suppliers, ensuring seamless event execution and client satisfaction. 
  • If you excel in client management, event planning, and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, this position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and drive successful event outcomes.

 

You're good at:

  • Managing client relationships and understanding their business needs and meeting policies.
  • Sourcing hotel availability, negotiating contracts, and reconciling data accurately.
  • Planning and executing programs, overseeing attendee management, and ensuring operational excellence.
  • Providing value-added client counseling, problem-solving, and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
  • Utilizing meeting technology tools, such as Cvent, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite effectively.
  • Working collaboratively, adapting to changing priorities, and delivering superior customer service under pressure.

 

You might also have:

  • Three (3) years of experience in planning meetings, incentives, conferences, or special events from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in sourcing/contracting programs at various venues and building registration sites.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maximize profitability while minimizing costs.
  • Familiarity with Cvent, new meeting technology tools
  • A college degree or CMP certification is a plus.

 

You should know:

  • This role is virtual, operating in the Eastern Time Zone. Preference for candidate to be  located in the Philadelphia/south New Jersey area.
  • Travel required of 25% -50% is requierd.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Program Manager (Meeting Planner)  is between $60,000 - $82,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
