About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to be a foundational member of Rippling’s Professional Services team, Platform and Data!
Rippling’s Professional Services team is responsible for ensuring customers see incredible business transformations by maximizing the value of our core Platform- including custom workflows, custom applications, advanced reports/analytics, permission profiles, and approvals.
As a Professional Services, API Specialist, you will partner with our customers to facilitate integrations using Rippling’s REST API.
The Professional Services team is growing, along with our focus on Platform and Data solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with our largest customers, be consultative and technical, and drive a key strategic initiative.
The ideal candidate for this role has experience consulting customers on technical products and integrations. Understanding how to identify a customer’s problem, map it to a solution, and troubleshoot issues as the solution is developed will be important. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of REST API principles and documentation.
What you will do
- Conduct deep discovery to understand our customers business needs, priorities and systems
- Serve as the API subject matter expert on client projects
- This includes providing technical guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting
- Work cross-functionally with CX, product, and marketing to drive product adoption and enablement
- Design and document new use cases for our platform.
- Train our internal and external teams through webinars
- Contribute to our knowledge base and serve as a subject matter expert on custom integrations
- Actively contribute to the development of new Platform and data integration features
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams to support new use cases.
- Assist with user testing and beta programs for new features.
What you will need
- Experience working with REST APIs and custom integrations is mandatory
- 4+ years of SaaS experience in solutions engineering, customer success engineering, or integrations engineering
- An ability to build relationships with customers
- An ability to manage a book of business and control the customer’s implementation experience
- A curiosity for product/technology
- Ruthless prioritization and time management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to solve complex, interdependent problems
- Boundless energy to help other teams and your customers...all with a “can-do” attitude!
- Flexible to scaling and changing organizations and responsibilities
- Experience working with product and engineering teams to build and launch new products or features
