✨ Let’s give businesses more time for what matters.
The Product Marketing team within BILL is the driving force behind getting products to market and growing their impact on customers and the business. We represent the voice of the customer - before, during, and after launch, articulate a product’s value in a way that resonates with customers and differentiates vis-a-vis the competition, and drives product adoption, retention, and advocacy.
At BILL, the product marketing team works cross functionally with Product, Growth Marketing, Support, Sales, Customer Success, Brand, Growth, Creative, Analytics, and Legal, making it an extremely dynamic and influential part of the organization. You’ll be responsible for driving both strategy and execution across the entire GTM lifecycle and be responsible for supporting growth in key business metrics.
This role will be focused on executing a high volume of product and feature launches, helping to drive strategies for growth and retention, leveraging research to help craft compelling positioning and messaging, and coordinating multiple projects across various teams at once.
Success will be measured through both your ability to deliver against business metrics and your ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication: You communicate effectively (and proactively) with cross-functional teams to ensure everyone is aligned on high profile projects. You also teach, train and inform – you are the “storyteller” for your product.
- Project management skills: You prioritize work based on the most important projects/outcomes, and efficiently drive multiple complex projects from end-to-end. You find solutions when timelines are at risk.
- Effective collaboration: You work efficiently with cross-functional team members to find solutions to obstacles and challenges–you can also persuade, inform, and excite peers about your projects.
- GTM planning and execution: Collaborate on strategy, gain alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, secure resources, and support flawless GTM executions.
- Customer champion: Be the voice of the customer. Know the customer needs, journey, and mindset of customer segments and turn those insights into messages that resonate.
- Product expertise: You’re dedicated to learning the product and understanding how the customer uses it. You act as a partner to influence the product roadmap and recommend new features to build.
- Flexibility and curiosity: If no one is certain of the answer, you find it. If something doesn’t make sense, you ask why. If the plan changes, you adjust. And at the end of the day, you share your learnings with broader teams to help everyone in the future.
- Product messaging and positioning: Collaboration on customer-centric messaging that speaks to product benefits, sets us apart in the marketplace and helps guide GTM efforts.
- Sales enabler: Work closely with the sales team to provide assets and tools to help drive adoption of products. Continue to evolve the materials to address objections, competition, and new capabilities.
