Product Manager, Laboratory Test Execution

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Product Manager in the Laboratory Product Management Team, you will be responsible for the strategic vision and execution of initiatives aimed at components that are part of Natera’s laboratory test execution software.  


A key aspect of this role will be the development and support of real-time assay determination and laboratory recommendation products for patient orders. Additionally you will be responsible for defining and driving the product roadmap, evaluating and prioritizing new features, creating product requirements and driving the implementation timeline that supports the core platforms capabilities for cross-functional projects. Finally by partnering with other laboratory product and technical teams, you will build technical alignment and continuously evolve a platform ecosystem to support all of Natera’s Commercial Products.
The ideal candidate is someone who can navigate a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders, understand both the business processes of the groups we work with, and the technical details of the software to be an effective liaison for our department. This knowledge is used to discuss potential solutions and help drive decision-making, and then to be able to prioritize, translate and document those conclusions into detailed use cases and product requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft and execute a comprehensive strategy for one or more components of the company’s laboratory test execution software suite that aligns with business objectives.
  • Create and maintain a technical product roadmap, prioritizing a feature backlog and enhancements that improve the processing of clinical orders and align with the overall strategic roadmap.
  • Lead strategic development initiatives to enhance our platform with reusable and extensible solutions.
    Incorporate a focus on quality into product design, and work closely with development and software quality assurance teams on product and process improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our software products and create a shared understanding among business and technical teams.
  • Develop strong hands-on technical knowledge of Natera's software products and be able to aid in tasks ranging from configuration to testing and support.
  • Partner with engineering teams, product managers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure cross-alignment and successful delivery of product initiatives.
  • Drive projects from inception and discovery to delivery.
  • Responsible for the documentation of functional and technical requirements.
  • Responsible for user acceptance testing, software demonstrations and training.
