The Opportunity
As an Originator you’ll be at the heart of EDF’s market-leading Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) business – supporting the development of low-carbon generation projects across Great Britain. Working within Wholesale Market Services, you’ll lead on originating and negotiating PPAs with a wide range of renewable generators and brokers.

What you’ll be doing
As an Originator, you will originate and lead commercial negotiations for short and medium term PPAs across operational low-carbon and renewable assets. You’ll build and maintain trusted relationships with generators, developers and brokers whilst managing end-to-end tender responses and customer engagement, acting as the commercial face of EDF within the PPA market.
You will also work collaboratively with our Legal, Trading, Forecasting, Pricing and Product Development teams to deliver innovative and commercially robust agreements.
Who you are
You will bring energy, initiative and a commercial mindset. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
You’ll be confident leading negotiations, managing stakeholders and adapting quickly in a competitive landscape. You will have some knowledge of GB energy market, PPAs and renewable generation technologies and good understanding of risk and value.
