OpenShift Sales Specialist - U.S. Public Sector, Dept of Defense

Red Hat North America Public Sector is looking for an OpenShift Specialist to join the U.S. Department of Defense team.
In this role, you will be responsible for working with a team of account managers to enable customers and prospects to define, develop, and deploy their technology modernization strategies using Red Hat technology and services. You'll build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders across your territory coverage. The candidate should be able to operates with minimal instruction to achieve functional targets and may coordinate activities within the team. This role uses expert judgment to resolve complex sales challenges, coach team members, and lead initiatives impacting the overall function.
What you will do
Work with the the U.S. Federal sales team to plan a strategy to grow marketshare within a set of defined accounts
Consult with customers to understand their core business drivers and technical requirements
Present Red Hat's technical solutions focused on Application Modernization, Virtualization, Container Management and AI and manage emerging technology opportunity cycles with customers from qualification through to decision and procurement
Guide customers from their initial interest in agile transformation through to the adoption of Red Hat's cloud platform technologies, which will provide the technology foundation for improvement
Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to create long-term partnerships
Ensure that Red Hat's cloud and application platform solutions become the first choice for our key customers
What you will bring
5+ years of experience working in a solutions sales, solutions architecture, or agile transformation consulting role
2+ years of experience with modern application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, VMWare, Nutanix, Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, and other application integration and infrastructure technologies
Background in consultative customer engagement with either a consulting or technology company or organization
Technical knowledge of enterprise middleware and container technologies
Lead the development of sales strategies and initiatives for complex customer needs.
Oversee critical customer presentations and product roadmap discussions.
Lead growth and expansion in strategic accounts, beyond initial sale.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills with experience delivering to practitioners, managers, and executives
Ability to sell solutions in a multi-product environment
Proven ability to work with global, regional and local cross-functional teams to achieve success for customers
Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
