Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a National Account Manager - Residential HVAC and Plumbing Trades

Position Summary

As National Account Manager - Residential HVAC and Plumbing Trades the ideal candidate will focus on acquiring and developing Ferguson's National & Regional Dual Trade Contractor customer base. Specifically focused on growing sales to National and Regional Consolidators of HVAC and Plumbing service trade contractors by working with National Account Leadership to develop account strategies and plans that align with the customer needs and our sales and profitability goals and executable through the field sales organization. In addition to driving over-market profitable sales growth; driving the Residential-Trade and HVAC Customer groups product strategy featuring Own Brand products and programs; aligning and sharing best practices with the field sales team; driving consistent service through the field will be a focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with key Ownership groups and Operational Teams with national and regional consolidators of plumbing and HVAC service contractors or Dual Trade Roll-up companies.
  • Develop relationships with key vendors which meet branch and corporate objectives.
  • Customer retention through monthly/quarterly financial reviews, project management and execution of the program strategy.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows and other customer activities.
  • Develop and analyze market information.
  • Work with team to build customer programs and provide direction to field sales, marketing and operations support functions.
  • Provide frequent communication to Blended Field Sales and Directors on program requirements, advancements, and opportunities.
  • Identify new product/business opportunities based on customer need.
  • Integrate and prioritize corporate programs and initiatives.
  • Identify sales of existing products by customers and improve the sales.
  • Ensure quotes, submittals and RFPs are accurate and timely.
  • Work with National Account Operations, National Account Project Management, and branch associates to ensure our sales efforts are organized for improving customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Communicate program advancements to internal teams to ensure workload is handled appropriately.
  • Communicate with internal teams on product needs and potential product shortages.
  • Ensure that RFPs, quotations, and pricing are entered promptly, thoroughly, and accurately.
  • Work with supervisor in developing and maintaining a strong price matrix for National Account customers.
  • Maintain price agreements through National Accounts price contract.
  • Identify and market new products and services.
  • Provide information to customers about new products, services, and promotional offerings.
  • Maintain relationships with key decision makers / influencers for all accounts.
  • Routine follow up, using both inside support and field sales, will be essential.
  • Approach customers professionally with scheduled appointments and purpose.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel as needed, roughly 20% of the time.
  • Sales Management Experience or extensive experience in Plumbing and HVAC Trade Sales industry.
  • Prior experience in contract negotiation and issue resolution.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,374.70 - $13,933.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
