Job Description Summary

The primary responsibility of the role is to identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop relationships with various real estate lenders that have exposure to distressed loans including banks, life insurance companies, debt funds, and special servicers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in distressed real estate.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, including lenders, borrowers, and investors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Pitch services to potential clients and partners and prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Oversee the onboarding and execution of receivership/asset services/loan or asset disposition projects.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and business development activities.
  • Leverage the organization’s relationship with existing accounts by developing and executing initiative-taking, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison to the capital markets teams to ensure active, enthusiastic support of the sales and marketing process.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on sales collateral to ensure they are current and focused for the applicable presentation, conference, or opportunity.
  • Work closely with Distressed Asset Solutions team members to further develop sales opportunities including identifying gaps versus competitive offerings.

Experience & Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Minimum 15+ years of professional working experience.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the real estate sector, with a focus on distressed properties
  • Understanding of distressed properties, including loan workouts and debt restructuring.
  • A strong base of institutional client contacts, including banks, debt funds, life insurance companies, loan servicers and special servicers.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of third-party service offerings.
  • 60% domestic travel is required for this position.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in developing marketing plans and responses to RFP’s
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • A solid understanding of real estate finance, market trends, and the motivations of lenders and borrowers.
  • Highly proficient in excel, power point, smart sheets, and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-sufficient, goal and task oriented; with good organizational skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, real estate, or a related field.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $191,250.00 - $225,000.00
