Zurich Resilience Solutions is seeking a Risk Engineering Manager with leadership skills to join the Risk Engineering Casualty South team. This position has responsibility for managing the South Casualty Risk Engineering team. The role includes a company car with expected travel of 25%.

 

Some of the Accountabilities for this position include:

 

  • Managing National Fleet Services for the Casualty Segment
  • Lead a team of casualty lines risk engineering specialists to provide comprehensive risk insight and manage performance across all activities in order to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance.
  • Translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs or schedules in order to support achievement of a work area.
  • Where appropriate, lead the implementation of initiatives to improve processes, develop policies and support innovation in the risk engineering field.
  • Analyze key themes from data around risks and loss in order to identify how different scenarios may have an impact upon the business.
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships across the organization in order to ensure effective relationships and progress on all business fronts.
  • Collaborate and partner with underwriting
  • Oversee the resource allocation in a geographic area and ensure the overall delivery and quality of services to customers and business partners
  • Conduct opportunity spotting and cross selling with customers and business partners and therefore contribute to the business operating profit.
  • Represent Risk Engineering in the market place and position its value proposition with key business partners.
  • Expand regional fee income generation through the quality delivery of customized risk engineering solutions to the customer

 

This position involves the use of a company car. If selected for the position, your driving record will be examined.

 

This role will be filled at either the Manager Field Operations I or II level.  The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

 

Qualifications for this role are as follows:

 

Level I (6M)

 

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Management Services area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Management Services area


OR
 

Level II (7M):

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Management Services area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Risk Management Services area

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Highly preferred Experience in managing fleet Services for the region
  • Risk engineering experience to include knowledge of workers compensation exposures, controls and best practice risk improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of the risk management, risk transfer and loss control industry from risk engineering perspective
  • People management experience
  • Strong leadership, team building, and career pathing skills
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong MS Office experience and ability to learn and navigate technology systems

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $113,100.00 - $213,000.00. The proposed salary range for the Level I is $113,100.00 - $185,100.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%. The proposed salary range for the Level II is $130,000.00 - $213,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
