Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate an inclusive culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.
About the Role:
The Detections Platform group at CrowdStrike is responsible for building the tools, languages and runtimes used by internal teams to create detections and security-focused products. This position will manage a team focused on embeddable execution engines that operate over event streams and the languages and compilers used to program them. The team is currently around a dozen remote US-based engineers and is expected to grow over the course of 2025.
CrowdStrike is a computer security company, but we do not require candidates for this role to have prior security industry experience. We will mentor and train in security topics as needed. We do expect a strong interest in CrowdStrike's mission and a willingness to engage with the needs of our product teams and customers.
We don’t expect Engineering Managers to write code on the critical path to shipping features, but you should be able to make sense of the team’s PRs. You'll need to develop in-depth knowledge of our system architecture so that you can reason about our team's work and understand and explain its impact on other teams.
We are building compilers, runtimes, shared libraries, and other software for CrowdStrike development teams. The team works in Haskell, C++ and some domain-specific languages. Our team's users and stakeholders are internal development groups.

Helping resolve interpersonal conflicts
Coaching engineers and guiding their career growth
What You’ll Need:
A history of leading software teams
Has been part of a team that shipped code
Project management experience - you’ve tracked and reported status about a project, and collaboratively adjusted when things went wrong
Experience interviewing and hiring software engineers
Good at cross-functional collaboration
Asks good questions
Cares about people

A history of success supporting, hiring, and advocating for under-represented groups
