About the team
The Manager, Deal Operations will report directly to the Sr. Director GTM Ops & Business Process within the Finance organization working directly with both Finance and Revenue teams along with cross-functional stakeholders. This person will be the primary point of contact for the sales and success reps for support in building quotes and agreements for our customers. Due to the nature of our customers and their individual procurement processes, the quoting and agreement process might have different requirements to allow them to purchase. This position is designed to enable the Revenue team with a go to person for unique, non-standard quote and agreement configurations while also managing and improving our standard templates to handle more complex opportunities.
Some challenges you’ll tackle
Become the go-to SME on Deal Ops end-to-end processes to connect the dots between Revenue and Revenue supporting teams along with cross-functional stakeholders.
Partner with Manager, Business Process and Manager, Deal Ops Q2C to develop and enhance processes to maintain 24-hour SLA on quoting and strategy related tickets.
Develop an immense understanding of Flock commercial constructs, contract structure, billing processes, and Q2C process so you are able to facilitate conversations with internal and external customers.
Develop process for continued and enhanced treatment of triage and escalations to support Revenue teams.
Works closely with internal stakeholders from Revenue, RevOps, Finance, Product, and Legal.
Become an expert in our sales process and sales tech stack, allowing you to support in the moment issues.
Support Revenue and Customer Success teams through Account and Contract Reconciliation & Data Governance within CRM (Salesforce).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete quarterly projects and sprints related to process and system improvements.
Become an expert in Flock's products, pricing, and sales programs, allowing you to work with sales representatives to ensure accurate and enticing sales quotes are sent to customers.
Communicate effectively with and respond to/act on requests both from internal stakeholders and directly from customers/partners.
Act as liaison for escalations related to contractual risk management, ensuring that contracts are reviewed and approved in line with company policy and that deviations are appropriately escalated/monitored.
Ensure precision in closed-won opportunity auditing to support auditability of ARR, revenue bookings, and revenue recognition,
Support the Sales and Post-sales teams with all back-office processes and driving Q2C data integrity and Salesforce compliance.
Partner with Manager, Business Process to maintain process documentation and training material as process and tech stack are updated.
Other tasks as might be required from time to time.
About You
Combined experience of 5+ years in Deal Desk/Deal Operations or Finance/Billing Operations at a high growth technology company.
3+ years of experience with Salesforce CPQ.
2+ years of experience as a people manager working with fast-paced, high-volume teams.
Experience with SOX compliance, ASC606, and other revenue accounting practices.
Advanced knowledge of Quote-to-Cash and systems end-to-end processes.
Experience with contracts, account reconciliations, and coterminous agreements.
Ability to learn on the go, be a self-starter
High attention to detail in both strategic and tactical tasks
Experience managing templates in Docusign CLM and plus.

The First 30 Days
Complete Company Onboarding: Familiarize yourself with Flock’s culture, values, and operational structure.
Join Team Meetings: Attend key meetings with the Sr. Director of GTM Ops & Business Process to understand ongoing initiatives and priorities.
Training on Tools and Processes: Begin training specifically on Salesforce CPQ, the quoting and agreement processes, and other essential systems used by the Revenue and Finance teams.
Shadow Team Members: Observe and learn from current Deal Operations team members and cross-functional stakeholders to understand workflows and responsibilities.
The First 60 Days
Develop Understanding of Flock’s Commercial Constructs: Gain a deep knowledge of Flock’s contract structure, billing processes, and Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes to facilitate effective conversations with both internal and external customers.
Take Ownership of Quoting and Agreement Processes: Start managing the quoting and agreements for clients, ensuring compliance with Flock’s standards and efficient processing of unique requests.
Improve Communication Channels: Establish effective lines of communication with cross-functional teams (e.g., Revenue, RevOps, Finance, Product, and Legal) to streamline the flow of information and support timely escalations.
Implement Process Triage for Escalations: Develop a process for triaging and managing escalations to enhance responsiveness for the Revenue team.
90 Days & Beyond
Expertise in Sales Process and Technology Stack: Be recognized as the subject matter expert in the sales process and the sales tech stack, ensuring accurate, enticing sales quotes are consistently generated.
Support Data Governance and Reconciliation: Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Success teams on account and contract reconciliations, ensuring integrity within Salesforce and adherence to compliance standards related to SOX and ASC606.
Audit and Improve Quoting Accuracy: Conduct precision audits on closed-won opportunities to support reliable revenue reporting and further enhance quoting templates.
Propose Process Enhancements: Identify and present ideas for process optimizations that improve efficiency and productivity in the Deal Operations team and support overall business goals.
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary range of $115,000 - $176,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
