Lead Customer Success Specialist

- Acts as a key partner in leading and managing the client relationship for strategic accounts within a region by demonstrating product/service features beyond central functionality to help the customer achieve specific business results and maximum value from the product(s).
- Uses demonstrated expertise to recommend specific solutions to achieve customers desired result.
- Focuses on client account satisfaction and sustaining customer loyalty by responding to client sensitive and urgent issues and handling complex objections.
- Builds relationships with various management levels, divisions, and functional departments of assigned managed accounts.
- Meets with prospects to identify and qualify their needs including understanding decision makers, delivery timeframe, budget status, challenge and pain points, and competition status.
- Expertly provides value propositions to clients, prepares quotes or reviews quotes prepared by others, and closes sales by assisting strategic sales roles by getting prospects commitment with little or no supervision.
- Coaches and mentors lower-level staff on effective direct sales skills and sales processes.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.
- College degree preferred
- 8+ years of related experience
- Relevant knowledge and capabilities related to Software & Advisory offerings
- Previous experience in customer facing job, ideally with senior and executive-level customer contacts Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
What we offer:
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $135,000 - $148,500. which includes a base salary of $100,000. - $110,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 35% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
