Job Description

pureIntegration is seeking a Lead BMC Helix Developer to join our team and engage with customers to create service catalog workflows supporting both manual and automated fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Developer Studio and Digital Workplace and a deep understanding of ITSM best practices across areas including incident management, problem resolution, and request fulfillment. 

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in engaging with technology and ITSM teams to understand the current Helix configuration and process, as well as business teams, to design and deliver solutions that create a seamless request fulfillment process to meet requirements and enhance user satisfaction.

This position is fully remote within the U.S. and will be a W-2 hourly engagement for 6 Months, with a strong possibility for extention.

The hourly rate is $70 - $80. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance,401k Match, professional development, training, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary subject matter expert in the design, development, and operations of service catalog workflows using Developer Studio.
  • Workshop with customer business and operations teams to understand requirements of process flows that can be supported through Helix workflows and translate those requirements into designs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing Helix deployment architecture and usage, including but not limited to incident, change, problem, knowledge, and workflow management.
  • Review, maintain, support, and enhance to continually optimize existing Helix workflows.
  • Develop and analyze reports on service desk performance metrics, including identification of trends and areas of improvement.
  • Develop and lead knowledge transfer sessions with customer team leadership.
  • Participate in customer selection processes for new ITSM tooling and migration planning.
  • Ensure project execution focuses on key customer deliverables.  Create and provide documentation for client review and approval.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog creation, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint demos, retrospectives, and other activities as required to support the SDLC.
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of weekly status reporting and client presentations using client-preferred templates and tools.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring for more junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Equivalent with enterprise client experience
  • 5+ years’ experience developing in BMC Developer Studio, and leading deployment and operations of developed workflows in production environments.
  • 5+ years’ experience with BMC Helix ITSM solutions, including Digital Workplace, Service Desk, and ITSM.
  • Prior consulting experience in Enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and Service Management frameworks and principles.
  • Demonstrable experience in analyzing complex issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience leading process discovery and design meetings mediating between business and technology teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with both client executives and individual contributors.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and improving user satisfaction in customer environments.
  • Ability to collaborate and mediate between differing viewpoints to gain common buy in on direction.
  • Demonstrable ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-faced, innovative environment.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow.
  • Experience with development life cycle best practices.
  • Experience working in Private and Public Cloud environments including Azure, AWS and OpenStack.
  • Experience with functional or scripting languages such as Python, Go, shell, etc.
  • A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Ability to see the big picture, not just the piece you are working on.
