Key Accounts Specialist, Outdoor Performance

As part of the Outdoor Performance Group at Revelyst, the Key Account Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and supporting key national accounts for our Bushnell & Primos brands, while overseeing an agency of representatives who handle day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Sr. Sales Director of National Accounts, this position involves implementing sales strategies, nurturing and developing customer partnerships, and collaborating with internal teams to drive brand and business success. The Key Accounts Specialist will ensure high levels of customer engagement, is mindful and provides insights into market trends, and contributes to strategic decision-making in order to deliver or exceed sales targets.
The Key Accounts Specialist reports to the National Sales Director and is based out of your home office in Kansas.
As the Key Accounts Specialist, you will have an opportunity to:
- Implement and execute sales strategies by finding innovative approaches to achieve budgeted goals, adjusting tactics based on market performance and industry trends.
- Manage and support an agency of representatives who handle day-to-day operations, ensuring they effectively drive the day-to-day business with key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts, working to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and effective brand partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay informed and provide actionable insights and alternative strategies within the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to deliver tailored solutions and support for key accounts.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customers’ business needs and industry dynamics to offer relevant solutions and support profitable growth.
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with key accounts and sales representatives to address issues, discuss performance, explore new opportunities, and tackle challenges.
- Assist sales representatives as needed to resolve issues that arise within key accounts to maintain smooth and effective business relationships.
- Track and report on account performance by monitoring sales metrics, point-of-sale data, customer feedback, and overall brand and product performance.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and reports to senior management to inform strategic decisions and monitor progress.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with customers, aiming to secure favorable terms that align with company objectives.
- Coordinate with the agency of reps and cross-functional teams to ensure effective operations.
You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 3+ years of experience in account management or a similar role, with a focus on national accounts
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics
- Solid analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communication and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using data for informed decision-making
- Ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization
- Good problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
- Willingness to travel up to 40% annually
- Physical activity as required by the role
Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
