Interoperability Strategy Analyst

Overview
Under the direction of the Vice President of Interoperability, the Business Development Associate, Interoperability will be a key team member in Cotiviti’s strategy for acquiring electronic health data. This individual will be responsible for contacting healthcare providers, identifying decision makers, and conducting business development meetings to accelerate Cotivti’s acquisition of digital health data. Success in this role is the ability to influence providers or health systems to move from manual record retrieval workflow to a fully automated, digital process.

- Prioritize outreach calls appropriately based on volume and impact
- Generate new business leads and identify key decision-makers within a healthcare organization
- Build and maintain relationships with senior-level healthcare executives
- Conduct compelling presentations with the ability to clearly articulate the value of Cotiviti’s digital data acquisition workflow.
- Manage front-end of onboarding, including contracting, security requirements, and warm handoff to implementation team.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of healthcare sales or business development experience (i.e.: EMR systems, healthcare services, etc.)
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Experience working with/knowledge of healthcare providers and payors
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders (i.e.: CIOs, VPs, etc.)
- Willingness to travel on occasion (>15%)
Pluses:
- Strong understanding of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems and interoperability
- Strong understanding of healthcare organizations and their hierarchy, particularly Health Information Management, Information Technology, and Compliance.
Mental Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to balance activities across multiple internal customers, campaigns, tasks, and performance pressures.
- Strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to research prospective customers and plan sales prospecting activities accordingly.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required. Understands that internal customers’ interests are best served through continuous prospecting and intelligence-gathering activities and proactive communication with sales partners.
- Must be able to perform daily functions with little or no direct supervision.
Base compensation ranges from $108,000 to $132,000 annually. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
This role is eligible for commission.
