Job Description SummaryThis individual will use their Biomedical technical knowledge to drive standardization and quality control across the Install Base (IB) of the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Biomed Program.  This includes, but is not limited to, PM checklists, OEM service manuals, PM intervals, and End of Life so that GE HealthCare Biomed’s can make informed decisions on the ongoing maintenance and support of equipment at customer locations. This individual will also work with region managers and field teams for improved performance and customer satisfaction.  

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, validate, and drive accuracy across install base of ~46,000 make/models

  • Research service requirements for existing and new make/models entering database

  • Maintain integrity of HTM Biomed PM Checklists to include creation and revision based upon OEM literature, Biomed input, and changing regulatory/accredition requirements.

  • Maintain OEM Manual database

  • Maintain the Alternate Equipment Maintenance (AEM) program and ensure it is in compliance with changing regulatory standards.

  • Drive annual reliability review to include tracking and implementing requisite changes to maintenance strategy and/or PM intervals.

  • Review and amend job related work instructions to include but not limited to: Risk Analysis and PM Interval Designation and HTM Service Checklist Process.

  • Review End of Life letters received from OEMs/Vendors; update CMMS system with key information to include recommended coverage level and collaborate with Service Strategy Team on strategy changes.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Quality Specific Goals

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations. 

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. 

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years of experience as a Field Engineer servicing medical equipment OR equivalent military education or Associates Degree with a minimum of five years' experience servicing medical equipment;

  • Prior experience of independently & effectively providing assistance to Field personnel on all types of equipment found in a hospital setting.

  • Proficient with CMMS (Nuvolo) Demonstrated experience managing complex, multifaceted projects;

  • Ability to work from home-based office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and write clearly and convincingly in English, tailoring communication methods to audience requirements;

  • Self starter who can work independently, making key decisions on projects that affect diverse perspectives;
