Hotel Sourcing/Procurement Manager (Remote)

Full time, United States

Candidates must be willing to work Pacific or Mountain time zone hours

 

In this role you will work along-side your teammates and with clients to ensure each event is placed in a top-notch location at the best possible price. You are an experienced negotiator who understands the value of long-lasting relationships with hotel/venue partners.

 

You will be accountable for creating and submitting request for proposals (RFPs), recommending preferred hotels and ground transportation vendors, and negotiating with industry suppliers. The Sourcing Manager, Groups is accountable for consulting clients around site selection, contract negotiation & execution, savings generation & documentation, and properly updating technology information, all in accordance with client processes and tools. Sourcing Manager, Groups will engage in building and maintaining strong client relationships while providing best-in-class customer service.

 

As a Hotel Sourcing/Procurement Manager, you will

 

  • Work with client to understand meeting goals and objectives, sleeping room and meeting space requirements. Be consultative in your approach.
  • Make recommendations based on supplier relationships, budget, location, availability, goals, and objectives.
  • Distribute, monitor and analyze supplier Request for Proposal (RFPs) for client meeting needs.
  • Negotiate contracts for the best possible prices and concessions in order to meet savings expectation on meeting spend.
  • Source preferred ground transportation providers and provide proposals to group.
  • Manage amendments and cancellations requests efficiently.
  • Keep abreast of new destination options, well-priced seasonal destination options and “hot date” offerings.
  • Enter and update contracted details and negotiated savings in CVENT.
  • Monitor hotel penalties for rebook opportunities.
  • Adhere to client compliance and performance management SLAs.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

 

About you

 

  • Travel industry and destination knowledge is a plus
  • CVENT experience is required; certification is preferred
  • International experience a plus
  • Pharma/Medical Device experience a plus
  • CMP, CMM, HMCC or CMP-HC a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proven hotel sourcing & contracting, meetings management, and/or hotel sales experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows platform

At BCD Travel we value you, our culture and success is defined by you. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Hotel Sourcing/Procurement Manager is between $55,000 and $65,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
