THE ROLE
The Head of Sales at Mint House drives our growth strategy by expanding the sales pipeline, increasing revenue, and capturing market share. This role is essential to our success, requiring strategic vision, proactive planning, quantitative oversight, and a focus on execution. This role will maintain and develop strategic working relationships with national and key accounts to drive Mint House properties to track and exceed financial goals. This role will be evaluated based on its contribution to sales and achievement of revenue growth targets. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Head of Sales collaborates with the executive team and senior leadership to set and exceed ambitious goals.
AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL
- Create and implement a comprehensive corporate sales strategy to exceed annual revenue growth targets, ensuring alignment with both market-wide and property-specific segment mix goals.
- Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to position the company as a leader in hotel and short-term rentals.
- Deliver quarterly market performance reports to track and communicate the company’s competitive positioning and success metrics.
- Lead the Sales team in identifying top accounts across markets, defining specific engagement strategies, and tracking account-based growth metrics. Set targets for new account acquisition and revenue contribution from existing accounts.
- Utilize data tools like Thynk to monitor and analyze performance trends, driving the refinement of sales strategies to achieve consistent year-over-year growth. Leverage insights to provide actionable recommendations and assign targeted tasks to Sales.
- Support various hotel, vacation rental, and multi-family operational models to ensure seamless integration of sales initiatives.
- Recruit, develop, manage, and retain top-tier sales talent across properties. Lead weekly sales calls, aligning, motivating, and empowering the sales team.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews for the Sales team, analyzing individual and team pipelines, to align, motivate and empower the team to meet objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, HR, Finance and Leadership teams to ensure alignment on strategic goals, streamline processes, and drive successful project execution.
- Partner with the Revenue team to establish dynamic pricing models, optimize inventory management, and address revenue barriers
- Conduct a minimum of 3 client-facing meetings and attend at least 1 event or conference per month to strengthen relationships and secure new business opportunities for the portfolio.
- Partner with the Marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and cohesive messaging. Track success through metrics such as campaign ROI, lead generation volume, and client conversion rates.
- Manage corporate and property sales budgets with precision, ensuring financial efficiency. Set and track quarterly and annual sales goals, with clear milestones to ensure progress and accountability.
- Design and implement transparent compensation and incentive programs tied to quantifiable results, such as revenue growth, account acquisition, and segmentation goals.
- Develop tactical and strategic sales initiatives, including tools, scripts, events and partnerships.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on corporate sales in hospitality or related industry.
- Comfortable with a data-driven culture and proficiency in CRM and other sales enablement tools.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and securing large corporate accounts at boutique hotels and non-traditional accommodations.
- Possess the ability to motivate and inspire the team to reach and exceed sales goals. Willing to take on tactical tasks and provide hands-on support to the team when necessary.
- Proven success of road warrior, incredible ability and passion for building something new in a growing organization. Willingness to travel up to 75%.
- Demonstrates a proactive and driven attitude, consistently going the extra mile to achieve sales goals and exceed expectations.
- Notable experience developing strong partnerships with local businesses to further increase brand awareness and Mint House as the preferred accommodation.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, embracing new challenges with ease.
- Demonstrates the ability to navigate and succeed within an evolving playbook and shifting sales landscape.
- Demonstrates strong conflict resolution skills to effectively manage disputes and ensure team cohesion.
- A strong go-getter attitude that is willing to adapt and evolve as company goals shift and change.
Compensation Range: $100,000 – $160,000 USD, plus an annual performance-based bonus of up to 30%.
