City Experiences is seeking an Excursion Specialist - Outbound Sales for our Business Operations.

The Excursion Specialist will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Outbound Sales
  • Conduct outbound calls to leads provided
  • Identify customer needs and communicate Hornblowers value proposition
  • Manage and develop your workflow, scheduling call backs to close opportunities
  • Utilize, maintain and continuously improve learned City Experiences’ sales skills and scripts to explain products, services, and pricing
  • Utilize Salesforce ensuring all leads updated correctly as they progress through the sales process
  • Upsell enhancement packages and cross-sell among products within City Experiences’ portfolio
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of product offerings, product extras, pricing, and scripting for all standard products
  • Identify potential customers through cold calls, emails, and other outreach methods to create new business opportunities
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI’s and targets
  • Resolve guest problems using strong guest service skills and exercising diplomacy in keeping with company objective and guest retention
  • Accountable for timekeeping, including scheduled shifts, breaks, and overtime
  • Practice and follow the company’s RESPECT system and policies
  • Attend applicable meetings and training as designated or necessary
  • Performance will be measured by sales bookings, phone metrics, NPS score, management evaluation, and feedback from guests
  • Execute other projects as assigned by management including inbound calls

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Some college experience/degree is preferred
  • One (1) year outbound sales experience preferred; call center/reservation experience preferred
  • Listening skills, influencing skills, and handling objections from potential guests
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week, including required weekend availability; schedule is subject to change weekly according to operational needs
  • Must be able to work remotely and maintain a remote workstation where essential duties are able to be met
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills – expression and comprehension
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems
  • Must deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations
  • Mandatory formal training is provided over up to a three-week period, after which the employee will be tested.  For continued employment, employees must receive an 80% score or better.
