What you’ll do:

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented Employer Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing group medical and ancillary policies, cross-selling services, generating referrals, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Your primary focus will be building strong relationships with key B2B clients, understanding their unique needs, and serving as their primary point of contact for policy-related inquiries and support.  If you have a solid background in account management, extensive knowledge of group medical and ancillary policies, and a passion for providing outstanding service, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's success.

  • Account Management & Client Relationships:
    Serve as the primary contact for B2B clients, managing a diverse book of business with group medical and ancillary policies. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Customer Service & Support:
    Provide prompt, professional assistance to resolve client inquiries, concerns, and policy-related issues, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Policy Management & Maintenance:
    Oversee policy implementation, enrollment processes, and post-enrollment support. Manage policy updates, billing inquiries, and annual renewal requirements.
  • Sales & Growth:
    Identify upselling opportunities for ancillary products, generate leads through referrals and networks, and build a strategic sales pipeline with consistent follow-ups.
  • Compliance & Collaboration:
    Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and carrier policies. Collaborate with internal teams to address complex client needs, streamline processes, and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Who you are:

  • You have proven B2B account management experience, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry, with a focus on managing group medical and ancillary policies.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of successful B2B sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets while managing a dedicated book of business.
  • You have a strong understanding of group medical and ancillary policies, including coverage options, enrollment processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • You have a Health Insurance license or are committed to obtaining one within 30 days of hire.
  • You have a track record of delivering exceptional customer service, effectively managing client relationships, and proactively addressing client concerns to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • You excel at building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, including HR administrators and company executives, to strengthen partnerships.
  • You have experience implementing proactive retention strategies, including outreach, problem-solving, and upselling to maximize client satisfaction and policy renewals.
  • You are detail-oriented and proficient in CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and other tools to manage client interactions effectively.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes a monthly commission-based incentive plan, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
