Director, Talent Acquisition
United States
About Kojo
It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.
Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.
We're looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition to help us scale our Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering organizations. This role would report into the Chief Operating Officer, and will oversee the entire Talent Acquisition function at Kojo.
About the Role
As we are a scaling company, this strategic leader will be responsible for running their own searches from end-to-end while managing the systems, processes, and culture that serve as the foundation for excellence in Recruiting, and partnering with leaders across the company to meet immediate hiring goals.
This role will include:
Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own every stage of the recruitment process, from sourcing to offer roll-out, ensuring that we attract and hire the best talent across all teams.
Building Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate directly with Engineering, Sales, Product, Customers and Operations leaders to fill open roles in North America and international regions.
Recruiting Strategy & Process Design: Partner with Kojo’s COO to maintain and enhance scalable, efficient and data-driven recruiting processes - from sourcing strategies, to candidate feedback and offer packets. Improving processes as needed to support growth.
Optimizing ATS Usage: Design and implement processes within Ashby, Kojo’s applicant tracking system, to ensure smooth workflows and candidate experience.
Managing External Partnerships: Oversee relationships with 3rd-parties search firms and consultants.
Team Development & Scaling: Lead a team of contract sourcers to meet hiring goals in 2025 and beyond, ensuring your team is set up for success in scaling the organization.
Recruiting Process Excellence: Design a best-in-class recruiting and interview process that will be followed across all searches.
Metrics & Reporting: Create, track, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) that align with recruitment objectives, such as time-to-hire, offer acceptance rate, and candidate quality.
Employee Experience & Engagement: Partner directly with People Operations to support onboarding, engagement, and other employee initiatives to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
