Job Description

NielsenIQ is seeking a Director of Sales Transformation GTM Strategy. The Director of Sales Transformation will be responsible for driving key global initiatives related to how, where, and by whom we execute our sales strategy. This will involve coordinating with business leaders and include commercial transformation, operating model design, broad commercial initiatives, process redesign, and data analytics. This role will work directly with the VP of Sales Transformation on these initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of designing and implementing strategic initiatives, is an analytical problem-solver, and is continuously searching for ways to increase the impact of the sales organization.

 

Responsibilities:

Sales Go-To-Market Strategy Process

  • Establish on-going procedures and a regular cadence for refreshing the global GTM strategy and sales deployment model
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data inputs to mature the customer and market segmentation models
  • Evolve the design and deployment of sales roles in response to new solution offerings
  • Create repeatable, data-driven processes and tools to right-size the headcount across all regions, markets, and sales roles
  • Provide strategic guidance to and partner with Sales Leadership in each Region to refresh their Go-to-Market strategy. This includes sales deployment models, client segmentation, role design, responsibility mapping, headcount sizing, and account assignments
  • Sales Transformation ad-hoc initiative design and execution
  • Provide strategic guidance and data driven recommendations for all initiatives, rooted in data, facts, analytics, and market & competitive research
  • Conduct analyses and sizing of new and existing opportunities in collaboration with program teams and provide functional expertise in preparation for execution
  • Identify and prioritize issues and opportunities across program initiatives and partner with business to resolve
  • Responsible for pace of progress across selected initiatives and ensuring progress through issue resolution, meeting setup and preparation, and escalation

Initiative ownership and communication

  • Partner with cross functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, HR, Finance, etc. to influence key stakeholders (non-direct reports) to mobilize resources to complete key initiatives
  • Build relationships with key teams across NIQ to align on milestones for transformation opportunities across the business
  • Define and lead governance structure for select initiatives
  • Own cadence, lead meetings and material preparation in collaboration with initiative leads and business experts
  • Track initiative progress and ensure transparent reporting of progress, risks, and status

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in rigorous discipline; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years experience in Commercial Consulting (e.g. Sales), Commercial Strategy, Sales Strategy, Revenue Operations
  • Demonstrated history of effectively supporting data-driven initiatives enabling commercial growth, sales excellence, sales efficiency, and go-to-market strategies
  • Proficient in data analysis and comfortable navigating and integrating large datasets
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $110,000-$150,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
