Allergan Data Labs is on a mission to transform the Allergan Aesthetics beauty business at AbbVie, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Our team has successfully launched a new and innovative technology platform, Allē, which serves millions of consumers, tens of thousands of aesthetics providers and thousands of colleagues throughout the US. Since its launch in November 2020, Allē has delivered curated promotions, personalized experiences and had millions of consumers use it as part of their beauty journey.

As the Director of Product you will drive the vision and execution of the product roadmap, to empower Allergan employees with automated solutions that enable them to deliver exceptional experiences to Providers and Consumers. You will help build and lead a team of product managers who will serve on multiple Scrum teams. The ideal candidate will comfortably steer tactical process, prioritization and resourcing tasks while being a strategic visionary employing the art of the possible.You will report to the Head of Product and continuously collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to solve the most important technical problems.

 

You Will

  • Deeply understand the needs of internal stakeholders in customer support, sales, and customer success. Develop and enhance internal tools and applications to improve workflow, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Use qualitative and quantitative feedback, data analysis, and business needs assessment to guide decisions.

  • Set the product strategy for internal tools in conjunction with product strategy for external customers , identify new opportunities for improvement, and build a shared vision across the organization to drive consensus on product priorities and development approaches.

  • Own the product roadmap and provide clear communication and visibility for senior stakeholders.

  • Contribute to a culture centered on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring the team is focused on delivering consistent value in each sprint while aligning efforts with defined business objectives.

  • Lead a team of product leaders and product managers, supporting their leadership development and career growth. Encourage a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.

  • Build a talent pipeline of candidates who are enthusiastic about creating impactful, efficient internal tools and applications.

  • Engage with Engineering leadership to assess the feasibility of product features and consider alternative approaches as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Support, Customer Success,and other teams  to ensure that the applications meet their needs and improve overall business outcomes.

  • Foster a culture where user feedback and continuous improvement are integral to the product development lifecycle.

  • Prioritize a positive and collaborative working environment that aligns with company values and contributes to a healthy workplace culture.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in building and scaling product functionality that is used by cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in leading products that support internal operations, sales, improving efficiencies, and enhancing employee productivity and satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of strong-minded professionals, fostering their growth by empowering rather than micromanaging, enabling them to realize their full potential.

  • Expertise in creating structured processes and actionable items from complex or vague business challenges.

  • Possesses an extreme drive that motivates others, coupled with high standards for the internal tools and features being developed.

  • Strong ownership mindset, capable of thinking strategically and acting swiftly when supported by data.

  • Over 10 years of experience as a Product Manager.

  • At least 5 years of experience in leading and mentoring product managers, with a track record in developing effective mentorship programs.

  • Highly self-motivated, with a commitment to taking ownership, demonstrating follow-through, and solving challenging problems while delivering on commitments.

  • Excellent communication skills, adept at presentation and white-boarding, essential for cross-departmental collaboration.

  • Skilled in ensuring continuity and alignment across Engineering, Product, Marketing, and business units.

  • Preferably experienced in products that support operations and sales in large organizations.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
