Position Summary
OVG’s Global Partnership group are World leaders in sponsorship sales, brand consulting, partnership management, activation, creative, analytics and client service. As a member of this team, the Director of Partnerships will facilitate partnerships on behalf of GOAL, with a primary responsibility of driving revenue through sponsorships that connect sustainability-minded brands with tactical solutions that support sustainable operations, engage and educate people on sustainability, and drive impact across GOAL Member facilities. Subsequently, this individual will be responsible for leveraging the wider Oak View Group portfolio, sometimes connecting to OVG’s wider GP team to identify cross-selling opportunities.
This role will pay an annual salary of $120,000 to $170,000 plus commission, and is based remotely.

This position will remain open until March 21, 2025

McLennan, founder of McLennan Design. GOAL is a pioneering sustainability-driven membership and support network for sports, entertainment, and live event venues, including stadiums, arenas, theaters, and convention centers. With over 50 members around the world, GOAL provides environmental data analysis, sustainability strategy, and partnership advice. Utilizing Salesforce Net Zero Cloud for carbon accounting and visualizations, GOAL helps venues track and improve their sustainability efforts. The membership also provides qualitative support, including sustainability visioning, goal setting, and action planning, and creates a network to facilitate connections to operators and vetted vendors. By fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and offering tailored support, GOAL empowers venues to enhance their sustainability efforts, regardless of their starting point.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop and sell advertising inventory and integrated business partnerships
- Approach clients with a solution-based approach
- Ability to grow business and develop new revenue and product opportunities
- Perform well in a competitive and collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and presentation skills a must
- Maintain constant contact with clients before, during, and after the sale to establish and positively manage the business relationship
- Create and effectively maintain reporting documents in an organized manner; Develop and track new revenue pipeline to present to senior leadership, ownership, etc. on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of all OVG properties, initiatives and be able to successfully compare with competitors.
- Must have the ability to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Responsible for achieving established sales goals and budgets as set by management
- Must be able to work events
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8-12 years of professional sales experience in a high-performance sales or sponsorship environment, A lifelong passion for winning supported by an exceptional track record of
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers.
- Creative Problem Solver with the ability to quickly understand brands/partners’ business models and how to grow their business.
- Highly driven self-starter, with ability to work independently without supervision
- An excellent communicator and accomplished
- Knowledge of Salesforce/CRM systems
- Strong management skills with desire to develop and manage junior talent/staff.
- Excellent budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills (highly numerate).
- An entrepreneurial mentality, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make things
- Focused, diligent and hard-working; ambitious and
