Overview

The Director of Global Sales - Travel Industry serves as a CoralTree Hospitality product expert to the travel industry segment and is responsible for generating transient business from a defined global market, including business travel, wholesale, West Coast leisure market, and sound administration of assigned responsibilities. This position will maintain a primary focus on generating business from assigned business segments and/or designated strategic accounts within the positioned assigned region. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a CoralTree Hospitality product expert within the travel industry segment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships to generate transient business from a defined global market.
  • Target business travel, wholesale, and West Coast leisure market segments.
  • Maximize sales opportunities and revenue from assigned business segments and strategic accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new accounts and emerging market opportunities.
  • Effectively manage administrative tasks to ensure sound operation of responsibilities.
  • Provide strategic insights and expertise to align with CoralTree Hospitality’s goals within the travel industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for market penetration and client retention.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure consistent communication and follow-through with assigned accounts and regional partners.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a travel industry sales role on a property or in a multi property direct sales position is required.
  • Prior experience selling multiple destinations and multiple brands.
  • Experience selling within the West Coast region.
  • Deep relationships within the luxury travel advisor community.
  • Knowledge of luxury leisure, consortia, business travel, and wholesale segments.
  • Annual RFP (via Lanyon and other portal) solicitation process and management for the field.
  • Able to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and able to work in a remote team environment.

Salary range: $130,000 - $140,000/yr. + bonus.

Location: This is a remote position that should be based in the Western Region U.S.
