Director, Global Talent Operations

The Director of Global Talent Operations is responsible for understanding the strategy from the Global Talent Management Center of Expertise (COE) and operationalizing that strategy through resources supporting our company's talent management processes.  This director leads a team of 3-5 employees and is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the talent programs that enable employee performance and growth. This position works closely with the Chief Talent Officer and the Talent Management team to execute the long-term strategic vision of accelerating our culture shift through a focus on our talent experience.   

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner closely with the Global Talent Management Leadership Team to define center of excellence business needs and priorities aligned to the long-term strategic talent roadmap and ensure comprehensive delivery of solutions and strategies.

  • Manage a global team responsible for the implementation, continuous improvement, and ongoing delivery of core enterprise talent processes and programs.

  • Operationalize the enabling talent practices, including any performance management enhancements, assessment changes, talent growth framework, and 180/360 feedback processes.

  • Deliver the suite of talent operations programs including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding/exits, opportunity marketplace gigs, performance management & year-end, talent review growth framework, and leadership assessments.

  • Partner with organizational readiness on the development of key employee and manager communications to ensure clarity of key messages and actions.

  • Provide oversight for the supplier relationships in talent management including those administering leadership 360 assessments and the US new hire welcome box program.

  • Drive operational excellence by continuously evolving the global talent management delivery model including people, process, technology, and compliance.

  • Continually evaluate opportunities to transition additional operational work into the Talent Operations team to best support the Center Of Excellence as new programs are implemented, and existing programs are optimized.

  • This Director will develop new, and improve existing, service offerings and demonstrate a strong understanding of change management to successfully realize the intent and benefit of those services.

  • Maintain relationships with key regional and divisional Human Resource Business Partners, business leaders, and labor stakeholders represented on our various talent networks.

  • This leader will be expected to utilize analytics on a consistent basis to measure effectiveness of our talent management programs and delivery.

  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels in a simple and concise manner.

  • Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation and prudent risk tolerance; effectively leverage market intelligence to deploy leading practices.

  • Results-orientation: A track record of establishing clear objectives and bringing multiple parties together to achieve key initiatives in a complex, unstructured and ambiguous business environment.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Talent Management Center of Excellence, Human Resources Operations in support of Talent Management or an adjacent Center of Excellence, and/or Human Resources Business Partner role

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related discipline, Master’s degree a plus.

  • Demonstrated capabilities in managing multiple stakeholders and delivering complex solutions

  • Previous experience managing large-scale, global programs and initiatives

  • Strong experience in program management

  • Demonstrated record and proven ability to lead a global team (blend of on-site and virtual locations)

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience managing the delivery of talent services and accountability for metrics/results, escalations, and service recovery.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$169,700.00 - $267,200.00
