Director, Global Market Access, Immunology

The Director, Global Market Access, Immunology will play a leadership role in developing an integrated global market access, pricing and reimbursement strategy for assets within our Immunology portfolio. In this role, the Director will lead the development and execution of global market access strategy, payer value proposition, pricing strategy, and payer stakeholder communication tools in partnership with Commercial, Research & Development, Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence (CORE), Medical Affairs, Policy, Communications and regional and country teams.

This role will report to the Executive Director, Global Market Access, Immunology.

Your key assignments as Director, Global Market Access, Immunology:

  • Develop global payer value proposition and access strategy for assigned assets, ensuring access considerations are integrated into global access plans and taking informed positions related to price, value and affordability challenges at the appropriate time of product development and launch.  

  • Partner closely with the cross functional team including marketing and Product Development Teams (PDTs), (ex. clinical, CORE and medical affairs), regional and country teams to ensure patient access objectives and strategy are linked to clinical development, commercial and value evidence plans.

  • Synthesize and communicate payer customer insights to inform current and future access strategy, including access opportunities and risks by country archetype. This includes conducting payer market research and analysis of payer landscape and competition.

  • Co-lead with CORE the 4th hurdle framework assessments to inform access strategy and evidence generation plans.

  • Develop global pricing strategy, product value scenarios and negotiation strategies in support of Global, Regional, Country plans.

  • Collaborate with Regional access, pricing and affordability solutions teams within Global Market Access to inform access strategy development.

  • Provide access assumptions into business development assessments on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Partner with Policy colleagues in the assessment of and development of action plan to shape the value frameworks and other policies impacting value assessment.

  • Lead the development of value communication resources, including payer value deck and other access resources.

Travel: Yes, 10-20% of the time.

Work Location: Rahway, NJ or Upper Gwynedd, PA (Hybrid)

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in business administration, health policy, or health economics.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • At least 8 years of experience in one or more of these areas: market access, pricing/reimbursement, health policy and/or health economics, sales and marketing (or equivalent roles), market research

  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement methods, and policy issues, including health technology assessments of major countries

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Experience successfully leading cross functional matrix teams

  • Demonstrated innovative mindset and high level of comfort working in a white space environment that is necessary for innovation

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, develop and communicate scientific based strategies and messages

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong influencing, negotiating, conflict resolution skills

  • Comfort and confidence in working with diverse teams and backgrounds; routinely demonstrates inclusive behaviors; actively seeks out diverse perspectives and experiences

  • Strong commercial orientation and business acumen

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong project management and operational skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in specialty care therapeutic areas, preferably immunology or oncology

  • Prior experience developing global business strategy

  • Knowledgeable about health economic tools and techniques

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$181,600.00 - $285,800.00
