Digital Process Automation Solutions Director

We currently have a career opportunity for a Digital Process Automation Solutions Director with open-source BPM platforms (Camunda or Flowable) and AWS Cloud experience to join our national Automation Consulting team. While our headquarters is located in St. Louis, MO, this position is remote with some client travel as needed, and can be based anywhere within the United States.

The Intelligent Automation Solutions Director is a key leadership position in the business unit with the skills and experience to lead strategic engagements resulting in business outcomes using open-source platform solutions. This individual will have overall responsibility for the strategic leadership of client engagements from a delivery perspective. Additionally, work closely with the Business Developers, and be responsible for ongoing client development and relationship management activities.

Specifics of this position may include:

  • Growth Mindset / Sales Partnership: Drive company growth through collaboration with the sales team and practice SMEs. Engage in all aspects of sales including opportunity identification, solution ideation, as well as quality proposal creation and presentation. 
  • Client Engagement: Foster strategic relationships with key client stakeholders to understand needs and identify further opportunities for client growth and to drive value within their organizations. 
  • Delivery Excellence: Oversee delivery of strategic programs and projects. Results measured in project profitability, account expansion, and customer satisfaction. Mentor and guide delivery teams to achieve successful outcomes. 
  • Vision: Provide strategic thought leadership to develop and execute plans that expand innovative offerings and enhance value to our clients. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Share insights with internal teams and contribute to thought leadership content. 
  • Team Leadership: Develop and mentor team of consultants, project managers and architects. Challenge, champion and celebrate our People. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Manage the technical, business, and personnel aspects of consulting engagements. Cultivate highly functioning teams comprised of Perficient and client resources, the ability to effectively manage the engagement while recognizing and leveraging the expertise of the different resources and the importance of their contributions is critical. 
  • Support multiple engagements on a part-time basis as the overall engagement manager working with the assigned project managers to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead strategic engagements while also serving as the lead consultant/strategist.
  • Cultivate highly functioning teams comprised of Perficient and client resources; the ability to effectively manage the engagement while recognizing and leveraging the expertise of the different resources and the importance of their contributions is critical.
  • Oversight on Project Managers generating invoices, revenue forecasting and resource management activities for the assigned consulting engagements.
  • Monitor engagement team performance and provide feedback.
  • Develop overall estimates of the effort / resource requirements / schedule.
  • Analysis of pricing / approach options advising the Business Unit Managing Director on the related business considerations and impact of different options.
  • Lead the risk assessment efforts during the proposal process and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Serving as the senior delivery resource for consulting engagements; cultivating highly functioning teams comprised of Perficient and client resources.
  • More than 10 years of overall experience with 6 plus years with Intelligent Automation *** Required.
  • Implementation experience with open-source BPM platforms such as Camunda or Flowable *** Required. 
  • Experience with leading technical discussions with business and technical decision makers, including detailed technical specifications, product roadmaps, deployment, and third-party integrations *** Required.
  • Develop detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans  *** Required.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification *** Nice to Have. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions. *** Required.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles *** Nice to Have.
  • Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC *** Nice to Have.
  • Design end-to-end AWS solutions that meet the needs of clients, taking into account factors such as scalability, reliability, security, and cost. *** Nice to Have.
  • Lead the implementation of AWS solutions, providing guidance and support to project teams. 
  • Ensure that AWS environments are configured according to best practices and compliance standards. 
  • Stay updated on the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, and share knowledge with internal teams.
  • Proven domain expertise with experience building business cases communicating client-specific value propositions and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated capability to handle Proof of Concept and solution demonstrations.
  • Experience coordinating Sales team members to develop sales scripts, discovery processes, best practices, sharing expertise/training, and guiding solution development.
  • Experience with recruiting, personnel management, and performance reviews.
  • Experience in sales support roles, particularly discovery meetings, demos, roadmaps, and engagement assessments.
  • Must be open to travel as needed.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $103,584 to $209,800. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
