Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Data Management Leader. While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States. 

 

The DNA (Data and Analytics) Practice supports a wide variety of clients, technologies, and applications. Our Team members drive innovation in the arena of data management and solutions. We work on innovative digital transformation deployment for various clients across the globe. We had explosive growth in the last few years to meet the demands of a massive transition to digital. Our practice groups include Data Management, Data Strategy and Data Governance.

The Data Management Leader works with our clients to oversee and guide their data management implementations, ensuring alignment with data strategy, business objectives, and driving innovation in data-related practices. 

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership 

  • Ability to understand client organization's data strategy and data management practices, including governance, quality, and integration
  • Align implementations to those data strategies and business goals to ensure that data assets create measurable value

Policy and Governance 

  • Implement technology solutions to comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PII, PHI, PCI)
  • Oversee data retention, security, and privacy measures to protect organizational data assets

Data Quality and Integration 

  • Establish data quality standards, monitor metrics, and resolve quality issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Drive Master Data Management implementations

Technology Implementation 

  • Oversee projects related to building or modernizing data infrastructure
  • Oversee projects related to data migration

Team Leadership 

  • Mentor and develop team members by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Define team goals, manage performance metrics, and ensure the team is equipped with necessary resources

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients or internal stakeholders by understanding their challenges and recommending tailored data solutions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities for additional services or improvements in existing processes

Project Oversight 

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with client or organizational expectations
  • Monitor risks during project execution and implement mitigation strategies as needed

Presales

  • You will be participating in a lot of pre-sales activities, helping with RFPs and this role will be heavily client-facing.

 

  • 10+ years of experience in pre-sales, delivery, and/or practice leadership within the IT consulting industry. 
  • Prefer at least 5 years of management experience with a team size of at least 5 people.
  • Proven track record of Pre-Sales expertise
  • MUST have experience with Implementation of Data Governance- frameworks, data quality management, and integration tools and technologies
  • MUST have experience with MDM (implementation and architecture)
  • MUST have experience with Data Quality, Data Cataloging and Data Lineage Tools
  • Technical proficiency in modern data tools (e.g., cloud platforms, data governance platforms, MDM platforms, analytics software) and database systems (e.g., relational, non-relational)
  • Excellent communication skills for building consensus among stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on involvement when necessary
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale data initiatives or managing complex projects
  • Familiarity with regulations & standards such as GDPR, CCPA, PII, PHI, etc…
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies or relevant technical areas are a plus

 

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
